A Time Machine Would Make Procrastination More Fun
There are things I say I'm going to do every year. Like remember Grandparent's Day. When I say stuff like that, though, I forget to look up when Grandparent's Day is, and thus I usually forget it until my mom says something like "Hey, it's Grandparent's Day, call your Grandparents." And I say I will, but I never do, because I'm a terrible grandchild.
Anyway.
Thanks to the never-ending Facebook updates of one of my friends, I have decided to attempt to complete NaNoWriMo, or National Novel Writing Month if, like me, you think "NaNoWriMo" is something that could only come out of your mouth if you're having a stroke. I've tried to do this in years past, once even getting so far as opening Word to start typing, but I've never gotten through it... Mainly because I forget that it's going on until November 23rd. But I'm gonna give it another shot this year.
After all, it's like my Aunt Agnes always said: "If at first you don't succeed, you're doomed to continue trying and never realize that you're in a vicious cycle of failure, so why even try in the first place? Now where the hell did I put my gin?!"
